How great an athlete at Midview was Lisa Dominguez? How about competing in multiple sports and earning 10 varsity letters. But Lisa didnít just compete, she excelled, starting all four years in basketball and soccer at Midview. On both the soccer field and the basketball court, Lisa was not only a record setter, but a team leader, voted captain in both sports for her junior and senior seasons.

In soccer, Dominguez was the goalkeeper, starting all four years in the net. In fact, she started 70 times out of 70 games played. During her four years, she notched 24 shutouts, and surrendered a career average of just 1.7 goals per game. During her time at Midview, Lisa set four school records, including single season and career shutouts, and also least number of goals allowed in a season and career. Twice during her career, Dominguez was 2nd Team All Lorain County, and twice she was an Honorable Mention All Lorain County. She was also a Plain Dealer Lorain County All-Star two times. Her senior season was capped off by being named Academic All-Ohio in Division 1.

Lisa was just as prolific on the basketball court. As in soccer, she started all four years she played, and during her career as a guard, Lisa set eight Midview records. Those include most three pointers made in a game, season, and career, as well as the highest three point percentage (39%) in a season. Dominguez was also incredibly accurate at the charity stripe, setting Midview records for most consecutive free throws made in a season (16), free throw percentage for a season (85%), and career (78%). The season percentage and career percentage numbers were Lorain County records as well. Lisa capped off her outstanding career at Midview by winning the team Offensive Player of the Year Award, team MVP, and being named Academic All-Ohio following her senior season. Over her four years, Dominguez was All Conference three times, and All-County twice.

After graduating from Midview, Lisa received a scholarship to Tiffin University, where she played basketball for four years.
